Souper Bowl 2022

Our first event since the beginning of Covid, Souper Bowl Sunday, was a Raven success.  Immediately after the service the men became Raiders of tables and chairs and tried not to Rams them too tight together. Mary C. was the head Charger of the kitchen and had all those marvelous soups lined up and labeled for selection.

Most of our members were Patriots to the chili and vegetables soups. But many more

AUUC COVID Update February 13, 2022

Dear Congregation,

The board is pleased to announce we are no longer requiring vaccination for in person attendance effective immediately. Masks are required at all times for everyone who is not speaking or singing at the podium. We will continue to provide zoom and streaming of church services so that anyone not comfortable being in person will still have an option to experience worship service.… more

Repairs and upgrades to our buildings are underway

New flooring lumber has been installed on the Annex porch, and a new service contract for Heat and A/C units in both buildings has been secured. Next, electrical upgrades in the Church offices will be completed. When all of this is finished, the Buildings and Grounds Committee will begin thinking about new paint for the Church sanctuary. Volunteers with painting or carpentry skills are very welcome!… more

Rev. Debra Granted Final Full Fellowship

In February 2022 the Ministers Fellowship Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Association granted final full fellowship to the Reverend Debra Guthrie. This means that Rev. Debra is now considered a fully vetted minister in the Unitarian Universalist tradition, thus ending the traditional probationary period for new ministers. Rev. Debra gets married!

On January 8, 2022 Rev. Debra Guthrie and the love of her life, Donna Joyce exchanged their vows of marriage at the church. The service was officiated by Linda and Fred Warren. It was a small ceremony and a lovely day. The couple would like to thank the congregation for their wonderful and generous gifts. Rev. Debra will change her name to Debra Guthrie-Joyce. Our First Settled Minister

At the May 2021 congregational meeting the church called its first ever settled minister Rev. Debra Guthrie. We are pleased that we will be able to step forward into the future with a settled minister which will allow us to plan longer projects and help vitalize our ministry in the community.… more
