Calling a Settled Minister

Brought to you by the Called Ministry Task Force: Betsy Randall, Diane Dusick, Lynne Harrison and supported by the Committee on Shared Ministry members Linda Warren and Louise Plodinec.

Are we ready for the next step in our relationship with a minister? What’s working well in our community? Are there things we could improve upon? If the congregation votes to call a settled minister, what does that mean for you? For us? Do you believe our current, Contract Minister, is the right fit for our future settled ministry?

Let’s get together and talk this through. We’ll have an opportunity to vote on this question of calling a Settled Minister at our upcoming Annual Congregational Meeting. But first, let’s find out what this means.

If you had the pleasure of attending the worship service on January 24th you may already have a good idea what we are talking about. If you were not able to join us that Sunday, then you may be interested in a few more details. The Called Ministry Task Force has posted the text of their homily to our church website. Zoom based Cottage meetings are scheduled for the following dates and times. Please register as soon as possible so we can determine if we need to setup additional meeting times to discuss the next step toward our church future. Also, each meeting is limited to 8-12 participants so we’ll all have the opportunity to participate. The link to register is below.
