Worship Service August 26, 2018

Dear Friends and Members,

This is a special invitation to join us for worship this Sunday, August 26 at 11 am, to meet and welcome a member of our neighboring faith community, Islam.

Our guest in the AUUC pulpit will be Azza El-Remessy, PhD, RPh, BC-ADM Pharmacist and Educator

Dr. El-Remessy will share the history and significance of the holy days celebrated by Muslims around the world in her talk, “The Holy Days of Hajj (Pilgrimage)”. (This year the five days of Hajj, when millions of Muslims worldwide journeyed to the Holy City of Mecca, were August 19-24.)

We invite you to learn new ways to be supportive and to challenge common and dangerous misunderstandings about Muslims and Islam.  (Islam is now the fastest-growing world faith, with more than 1.8 billion followers–24.1% of the human population of our planet.)
