Sunday, May 6, immediately after the morning worship service
On April 18, 2018, over 10% of the current church membership signed and submitted a request to the Board of Trustees to hold a Congregational Meeting on Sunday, May 6, 2018. This request is in accordance with our Bylaws. A copy of this written request from the membership with 16 signatures out of 79 current members is on file at AUUC and is available upon request for viewing.
The business of the meeting is to fill the open positions on the Board of Trustees.
The President and President Elect positions are both vacant at this time, and at least one of the open positions must be filled in order for the Board to transact any business. The relevant Bylaw section is given below.
- Quorum
A quorum of the Board consists of a simple majority of the Board members and must include either the President or the President-Elect. A quorum must be present in order for the Board to transact business.
The nominees for both positions will be provided by the Nominating Committee at the time of the meeting. Nominations will also be accepted from the floor.
