Our members continue to make good trouble, many of them were spotted at the April 5th Hands Off protests. The Social Justice committee is committed to providing ride shares to all those who would like to go to future protests and helping to keep our government honest.… more
Joy to the World the carolers have arrived! Our choir and some wonderful volunteers got together and traveled around to our members who can’t always make it to services to spread a little Christmas cheer. Good times were had by all.… more

Aiken UU’s first meeting of a planned monthly meditation group was on October 22nd. Deb facilitated a relaxing meditation at the beautiful Carolina Bay, across from Odell Weeks on Price Avenue. Go check it out sometime! A relaxing nature break can help us come back to our own selves.

In appreciation for our congregation’s work to be designated as a Good Trouble Congregation, the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) gave us a $100 gift certificate to the UUA Bookstore. With this certificate, the Social Justice Committee purchased several children’s books that promote our principles and recently presented these books to Carol Boeding, Chair of the Youth Religious… more
The church supports a Keys to Good Tenancy course offered by Aiken County Family Promise which is designed to prevent homelessness by providing essential skills and knowledge to at-risk students. Church members provide a meal for the students, and Sandy Hochel teaches the class. In this photo Sandy is presenting a certificate of completion to one of the students in the February 2023 class.
